Jail reimbursement is on the agenda for the Wednesday, February 10 meeting of the Capital Facilities and Government Operations Appropriations Subcommittee. The meeting is scheduled for 2:00 PM in Room 250 of the State Capitol. Jail reimbursement has long been one of the major issues concerning county government at the legislature. This year, for the first time, the appropriation of jail reimbursement will be prioritized in the Capitol Facilities and Government Operations Appropriations Subcommittee due to a change in the law last year that moved jail reimbursement from the Department of Corrections to the Division of Finance.
