After careful consideration, and many conversations with the UAC Executive Committee, the decision has been made to hold our annual convention online only. Please read below for more information.
Live-stream registration is open!
Fellow UAC Members:
Out of an abundance of caution and respect for the Governor’s authority, next week’s annual conference will be held virtually, rather than in person.
UAC’s staff and Executive Committee sought and received input from numerous members, vendors, presenters, the Governor’s office, venue staff, health experts, and other stakeholders. Our decision comes after thorough debate and thoughtful consideration. While we are confident that the controls that we planned would have ensured a safe event that fully complies with the Governor’s order, we also want to assure the public that we respect the intent behind the order and want to do our part to help prevent further spread of COVID-19 during this unprecedented surge.
As you can imagine, perspectives vary widely across our counties. We acknowledge and value the difference among UAC members. These differences make us stronger, broaden our perspectives, and make us better leaders. We appreciate each of you for your unique perspectives. Now more than ever, your ongoing patience to work and communicate with one another during these challenging situations is so very valuable to our state, your community, and certainly your Utah Association of Counties.
We will provide an updated agenda once it is finalized, but the conference will likely be consolidated to Thursday for general sessions, with options for affiliate breakouts on Thursday and Friday. The UAC Board meeting will also be held virtually.
