UTAH RURAL LEADERSHIP
ACADEMY

NOTE FROM BRANDY GRACE, CEO OF UAC

Dear County Elected Officials,

I am reaching out to invite you to apply for the new Utah Rural Leadership Academy.

This year-long Academy kicks off at the One Utah Summit in Cedar City, Oct. 2-4 with Gov. Spencer J. Cox facilitating a leadership training day. The year-long Academy combines in-person and online learning opportunities and culminates with a Rural Governance Incubator experience for workshopping rural issues.

Managing partners for the Academy include Utah Association of Counties, Office of the Governor, and Southern Utah University. Its purpose is to offer key relationship building combined with collaborative growth and development opportunities for assisting counties in operating vibrantly, responding to demands and preparing for Utah’s future.

With just 40 seats available, we are looking for at least one representative from each of Utah’s 29 counties. You can learn more about the program and apply here

To be considered for participation in the 2023-2024 cohort, your application will need to be received by August 30 at 11:59 p.m., though I would recommend applying ASAP. Your costs for participation and travel accommodations will be covered upon acceptance.

Thank you for considering this invitation to apply!

Sincerely,

Brandy Grace

CEO

Utah Association of Counties
